Tropical Plants from the
American Orchid
Society Gardens

These photographs were taken on one of the last days of what had been announced to be the closing to the public of the American Orchid Society Gardens. Thanks to the rallying of public support and donations that unhappy event was cancelled. On June 2, 2009, the Board unanimously voted to keep it open.

In my presumed last visit, I was amazed to discover plants that I had never seen, despite my many visits over the six plus years I've lived near this Delray Beach location. Some of them are shared below. Except for the Torch Ginger and the Philodendren, the others were totally new to me.
